Ceflox Eye/Ear Drops

Ceflox Eye/Ear Drops is used to treat bacterial infections and allergies in the eyes and ears. A bacterial eye infection occurs when bacteria enter the eye and multiply, causing inflammation, redness, pain, and vision problems. A bacterial ear infection occurs when bacteria enter the ear, causing pain, inflammation, and hearing problems.

Ceflox Eye/Ear Drops contains three medications: Chlorpheniramine maleate (an antihistamine), Ciprofloxacin (an antibiotic), and Zinc Sulphate (an astringent and antiseptic). Chlorpheniramine maleate works by preventing the release of chemical messengers involved in allergies, thereby reducing red, itchy, and watery eyes. Ciprofloxacin stops the bacteria from making new DNA by inhibiting a bacterial enzyme (DNA gyrase), thereby preventing them from growing and multiplying. Zinc Sulphate helps reduce inflammation and irritation caused by allergies and clears out the infection-causing organisms.

Ceflox Eye/Ear Drops is intended for use in the eyes and ears only. Your doctor will advise you on the appropriate dose and duration for your eye or ear infection. In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as irritation, itching, redness, pain, discomfort, and a burning or stinging sensation in the eye/ear. Most of these side effects of Ceflox Eye/Ear Drops will gradually resolve on their own without the need for medical attention. However, if these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Before using Ceflox Eye/Ear Drops, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or antibiotics. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, please consult your doctor before using Ceflox Eye/Ear Drops. Also, let your doctor know if you have vision or hearing problems, glaucoma (high blood pressure), or other infections of the eye/ear before using Ceflox Eye/Ear Drops.
